Post by DEVIL MAY CRY on Dec 18, 2005 17:46:55 GMT -5
LOL I am thinking it would be funny if people started begging me to play Socom 3. Cause I mean that would just be funny to me. Oh I have started playing DEVIL MAY CRY 3 again. It is awesome. OMG its the best. If you like over the top unrealic things I reccomend you get this game. If you liked the Matrix. The lobby scene, you know over the top stuff like that. Then you would LOVE DEVIL MAY CRY and DEVIL MAY CRY 3. It is so over the top, but so amazingly kool. You can't help but laugh and admire at the same time. What is kool about the game is you start a mission there is a story scene and then you finish the mission there is a story scene. And sometimes there is a story scene in bettween missions. But there is a lot of hidden things that if you pay attention you will see. Like on mission five at the end Dante kills this guy and the blood that flies put write a 6. To signify mission six is now beginning. And just crazy stuff like that. There are parts where you will look at all the artwork and thing wow that it strange. But then later you will understand that. Like one time I can to a door and thought man that looks different. Then I opened the door and there was a boss. And it was a Horse and chariot. Then I died and came back to the door and noticed the door had horses on it sideways. Kinda running up into the ceiling. I mean things that. They stand out but you don't put two and two together til later. It's awesome. The game was well thought out. The character is over the top but for good reason, it's his personality. And if you understand the nature of the game then you will know why some scenes are the way they are. DEVIL MAY CRY 3 is a game you must have. I am serious. It's an RPG, you ungrade you abilites, but that is not hard to do. Unlike some games you have to level up. In this game you don't have to. It just kooler when you do. Some game require you to level up to like 99. But this only has level 3. And you think it may take a long time to level up but it really doesn't. I am at level 15. And I have nearly everything full leveled up. And there are like 20 levels. So i will be done by level 18. The game was brilliantly made. There are lots of hidden details most people won't pick up on the first time threw. But then later you will be like OMG I get it now, its so obvious. DMC3 I reccomend this game to everyone who likes a good hack and slash. If you like realistic then you might not like this game. But if you like a challege and if you like amazing stunts. Then get this game. I can't wait to beat this game. I keep wanting to go further and futher. If you do get the game I can give you some helpful tips that will save you lots of frustration. The game is pretty hard even on the Easy level. There are puzzles but not too extremely hard. But they are enough to change the style of the game. Get this game I know you all want to after reading this. The price I am sure has dropped. To atleast $30. I don't know for sure. But this game is worth the full $50. Unlike Socom 3. DEVIL MAY CRY probably costs like $20 or even less. So Why not get both. DEVIL MAY CRY 3 is the prequel to DEVIL MAY CRY. DEVIL MAY CRY 2 is kinda weird, and not that good so don't worry about that game. DEVIL MAY CRY 2 is a kinda good time buster when your bored but other than that nothing special. DMC and DMC3 games everyone should OWN. You can play them in either order and it won't matter. DMC3 just has kooler additions. That if you played DMC you will be like oh I wish it had that in this game. But DMC has a Great story. So I would reccomend getting both. But if you only want to get one. Get DMC 3. And if you like the story, then go out and get DMC to hear the rest of the story. You won't be dissappointed!!!

I hate it when you go into your long winded explanations or ramblings... I see how long it is, get bored with the first line (you need to draw the reader in better), and stop reading... paraphrase man... paraphrase...

BAGG I say what I say becuase it needs to be told. If I say it any other way than I will dilute it too much. And you won't get the full experience of what I am saying. Ergo, Visave, Concordantly, the systemic anomaly can best be described as a flux in the matrix, trancendentally establishing a Quantum Galaxy.
Do you understand now bagg? I hope that clears everything up. I am not going to explain it any better.

yeah devil talked me into getting it, and im happy he did.. i wanted to try the game out be4 to see if its any good because i hear alot of good things about it.. and it is way better than what i thought it would be.. 10/10!!!
Game Title: Devil May Cry Genre: Action/Adventure Platform: PlayStation 2 ESRB Rating: Mature Developer: Capcom Production Studio 4 Publisher: Capcom Release Date: October 17, 2001 Overall Rating: Review Author: carbonox_ratchet
Devil May Cry was the start of something special, something awesome, not to mention something stylish, hardcore, and totally kick ass!! Yes, it’s the start of the greatest action/adventure series ever!!! The whole story is about a young man, a demon hunter who goes my the name of Dante. He is a handsome man, tall, with long white hair, but deep inside of him lies the most powerful being alive: the devil. His journey is to defeat the demon king Mundus and fight for what is right in the world, Mundus was already beaten by the most powerful knight of all: the legendary dark knight Sparda, Dante’s father...
Game play: 10/10 The gameplay of Devil May Cry is one of the best in any action game. It's not your Grand Theft Auto type game that companies seem to copy, but an original hack-n-slash fest by the great horror creators Capcom. The game was originally Resident Evil 4 which would have been cool also but then we would never have experienced a game of Devil May Cry’s calibre!
Anyway, the game starts off nice and slow paced, orbs for your taking and nice quality scenery which amazes me from the off. Surprisingly, you don’t get to the main action until near the end of the first mission, but getting there was a brilliant without battling!! Jumping around, practicing what you are planning to do with the enemies was fun on its own but that’s when the fun starts and the boys come out to play. MY GOSH! Such fluent and brilliant combat moves and sword techniques that blow you away literally; your initial combo is such a great treat but then you realize the other variants and you even use your guns between sword uppercuts to juggle your enemies!! So much to do with your weapons but the fun doesn’t stop there! You get to purchase new moves for your sword with orbs you collect. The whole collection scheme is brilliant too as you're required to get moves for enemies and bosses but need the orbs. Yet Capcom doesn’t make this a boring job as the enemies let orbs out, so the awesome combat is used efficiently to make it fun. The game doesn’t just rely on the sword, though. You get Ifrit, the fire gauntlets, which allow you to pull off exquisite hand to hand moves and also shoot out meteors and create giant flame wars. Then you have the Sparda sword, great spear-esque blade. The end of the combo lets you use it as a spear for long reaching enemies but doesn’t allow devil trigger unfortunately until the final mission which is when you see Dante’s true form.
The devil trigger is another thing that affects the game play, it is like a brilliant upgrade to what’s already stunning fighting and combat. Your devil trigger depends on the devil arm, Ifrit = fire demon, Alastor = thunderbird, the latter is slow super powerful martial arts whereas Alastor is super fast sword slashes with the ability to fly! The game play is something special, definitely one of the greatest, and gives future action games something to look at.
Graphics: 9.5/10 The graphics are something to be in awe about since the game was released in 2001, but the background and level designs were some of the best at that time. It was so beautiful that I could just sit there and watch the scenery move along like in real life. The forestry moves with the wind, the detail of the main castle, and the detail put into the characters is just so impressive. The whole gameplay works to perfection in exchange for some of the graphics though off the gameplay but it's nothing too noticeable as it’s the initial combat and fluency that you should care about. Also, the boss detail is so brilliant, their design is awesome too especially the phantom, a fire scorpion/spider hybrid.
Story: 8/10 The story is something to admire. Dante is basically sent out to kill a demon king with help of the beautiful yet mysterious Trish who seems to bear a resemblance to Dante’s mum… but you have to take on other bosses on the way including the incredible phantom and griffon. I think it’s a great storyline, really deep too. You'll enjoy every cut scene along the way when it links with Dante’s past.
Value: 10/10 Simple, the gameplay is great, the graphics are great, and the story is awesome. $5 - $10? MUST BUY!!!! The story is continued in Devil May Cry 2 which I may review soon and the awesome looking Devil May Cry 3 set before Devil May Cry and telling the story of a battle between Dante and his brother Vergil, stay tuned for March!!!!
ya i did'nt type it i copied and pasted...im not a fast typer like devil.. read and if you like what you read maybe you will spend the whole $10 to get this game... o yeah, just remember after you play it you may wanna get the 3rd so there goes another $30..
